I am pleased to participate as a selected choreographer in SandD LAB., a training and development program organized by SandD, led by dancer and choreographer Kenta Kojiri.
This year’s program, “Creating Dialogue: Motion and Light,” is currently seeking dancers to join the project.

SandD Training & Development Program “SandD LAB. 2026” Creating Dialogue: Motion and Light
— Choreography and Lighting in Creative Dialogue —

Dates: March 3 (Tue) – March 8 (Sun), 2026
Venue: Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No.1, 3F Hall

SandD LAB. is a training and development program run by SandD, founded by dancer and choreographer Kenta Kojiri.
This year’s theme, “Creating Dialogue: Motion and Light,” focuses on cultivating the ability to verbalize creative expression and to communicate one’s ideas clearly within the creative process.

Choreographers and lighting designers will work in pairs to create approximately 15-minute scenes. On the final day, a showing will be held as a trial and experimental presentation, followed by mutual evaluation and in-depth discussion of the creative outcomes.

Lighting designer Yukiko Yoshimoto will join the program as a mentor, supporting deeper communication in the creative process. In addition to individual stage and studio rehearsals, the program will include approximately six lecture sessions by the mentor and guest instructors.
Participants will gain new insights into choreography and technical design and apply them to their creative practice.

We are currently seeking dancers to participate in the creative works of the selected choreographers.

Eligibility
・Professional dancers or those with equivalent experience, aged 18–45
(must have the skills to respond to choreographers’ requests; age is negotiable)
・Must be available for the designated program period
(rehearsals will be scheduled during available times within the period)
・Ability to communicate appropriately with choreographers, staff, and fellow dancers
・Interest in lighting trials and stage creation
(Please note: this program emphasizes collaboration between choreographers and lighting
designers. It is not a dance technique workshop.)
